Animal Artwork by Liz Cumbess
We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization that rehabilitates feathered, furred, scaled, and two-legged creatures. In an AGE OF CRUELTY we strive to be an example of kindness and a safe house to those that need us.
FFEA receives no Federal, State, or Local Funding. No one is paid a salary, including the Director. We are run entirely by valued volunteers and donations. We invite you to join us in this important work.
The following is a lit of just some of the areas
help is needed:
- Clerical - handling correspondence and paper work for volunteer persons on community service, etc.
- Monthly Yard Sale Helpers - this is usually held at the Sanctuary the 2nd Friday and Saturday of the month, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
- Public Relations - Set up a table at various events, stores, flea markets, etc. The first contact will be made by Sanctuary personnel.
- Landscapers -trimming trees, bushes, and other yard work.
- Cage Building & Repairs - materials and most tools provided.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Repair - parts and most tools provided.
- Any other skills you may have... We need YOU!!!
All training will be provided. You will never be expected to work when you are not able to, nor do anything you do not wish to do. You will not be expected to handle any aggressive animals. We look on you as a very valued member of our team and can and will work around any physical or schedule limitations.
Working with or for animals in crisis is challenging and extremely rewarding. YOU can make a difference in an animal's life. Volunteer Today!

Dedicated to the Sanctuary Team
The Warrior
Into the battle - into the fray,
No armor for the soul -
The arrows come - again, again,
God, why must it be so?
Your creatures, Lord, your handiwork
These must all be saved.
Your precious gifts cannot be lost
To the ruthless and depraved
A line must be drawn, a stand is made
The Warrior is here
The fight goes on, the creatures saved
from death - and pain - and fear.
Someday - Somewhere - it will be so,
The Warrior will rest.
The precious ones saved throughout
the years,
Will all proclaim her blest.
